Terrible design flaw - cannot remove obstructions
You can’t remove the brush cover and clear obstructions. The small brush roll at the front comes out for cleaning, but the main brush area is not accessible. If you have small kids with toys that may get inadvertently run over and jamb the brush mechanism, this vacuum is trash to you. We’ve bought Shark products for over 10 years, and each generation of their products have become more cheaply made with more design flaws all while the prices skyrocket. This thing is going in the trash and we’re buying a Dyson. Don’t waste your time or money.

Dead after 1 year

Not suitable for a home with shedding pets
I LOVED my old shark vacuum but it was falling apart. My husband surprised me with this one and I was so excited but this one is terrible. I have a pure Great Pyrenees and mixed pyr with anatolian shepherd who shed a lot. This vacuum does not hold up like the other one. The price is ridiculous for a vacuum that can't hold up from the beginning. The fin got torn up pretty quickly and the brushroll gets clogged with hair incredibly fast.

Bought another
This my second Shark Stratos.My first lasted about 2 years before the plastic clip that attaches the dust container to vacuum snapped off .At that point ,the container wouldn't secure into place , rendering the vacuum unusable..I managed to secure the container with a bungee cord to salvage the vacuum..A metal clip rather than plastic might solve future issues... I still have faith in the product, thus buying a second one .The Stratos is the Swiss army knife of vacuums..Powerful and effective and a great value ..

Powerfull
One day before using this vacuum cleaner for the first time, I did some cleaning with my old vacuum, and this is everything I picked up with the Shark. It’s super powerful and left my floors and carpets very clean. It’s a bit heavy, but I used it for about 30 minutes and didn’t end up too tired. I liked it—good purchase and a great discount.

Good Condo Session
I have a 525 sq. ft. Condo, so this meets my needs for Cleaning, Versatility, and Storage. I like that I can get the accessories I want for my needs. And filters/ HEPA as needed. I would recommend this to a friend. I scored a total of 52% off for Black Friday.

Purchased this a month ago and overall very pleased. Replacing an older shark upright that we ran the wheels off of. Comparing the two the only part I like better about the older unit is the wand has a LED light when removed from the main unit and the New unit does not. It is not a deal breaker but I did not realize how helpful it is when cleaning an area with little to no light. This is the only reason for the 4 star rating and not a 5 at this point.
