I love this book
I was in a reading slump when my friend convinced me to read this book. I read this book in two days because I loved it so much which I almost never do. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of fantasy and romance books and it is definitely in my top three favorite books currently.

Great
I'm on book 5 right now and when I tell you this series is AMAZING I mean it. It's very great at showing a girl who's a little insane and how she can change.

Yikes. Put It Back On The Shelf
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi was just alright. The back of the book reads as follows “ One touch is all it takes. One touch and Juliette Ferrars can leave a fully grown man gasping for air. One touch and she can kill one knows why Juliette has such incredible power. It feels like a curse, a burden that one person alone could never bear. But The Reestablishment sees it as a gift, sees her as an opportunity. An opportunity for a deadly weapon. Juliette has never fought for herself before. But when she’s reunited with the one person who ever cared about her, she finds a strength she never knew she had.” Nothing was awful but nothing was great. It was an extremely easy read(maybe a bit too easy). However, the preface is pretty inaccurate. The book is really about Juliette being imprisoned by a guy, who for some unknown reason is obsessed with her, and her escape from him. If you're like me and buy the first books of different series to read the whole series don’t buy this book. This style of writing sounded like fanfiction. There would be times throughout the book when Juliette, the main character, would say something along the lines of “There are people who want us dead, but his lips are so pretty xoxo”. The more I read through the book the more I realized it was just a collection of odd similes and metaphors. To give the book some grace, it is written like Juliette is writing in her diary(which explains some of the creative choices), but it seems like the author forgot that she’s writing a book that is going to be published. The book was described as a dystopian romantic thriller, and it was dystopian and romantic but not a thriller. The most important part of the book happens halfway through and is quickly resolved. I wasn’t on the edge of my seat. I was bored; it felt like I was waiting for it to end. It was a bad attempt at combining The Hunger Games and Maze Runner. Initially, after closing the book and putting it down, I thought “You know maybe it gets better in the next book.” Believe me, it doesn’t. I went to the Google Books Preview and read 30 or so pages of the next book; it was just as mediocre. After reading this book and writing this review I can safely say that this book was ok. It’s not in my top 5 but if you’re looking to read something to kill time this book is perfect.

AMAZING
I thought that I wouldn't like this book just because it's normally something I wouldn't read but I loved it!!!! I was never bored a moment in this book, it was so hard to put down and a nice quick read. I loved the plot and really just everything about it, I finished the book in 3 days and I'm already halfway through the second book in only a day. I will be reading the ENTIRE series and this book is totally my favorite.

OMG!!! Where it all starts
By far the best series I’ve read. Although, the first book is a little boring. The rest after are worth the wait. Would love to have that moment of reading it again for the first time. Nothing beats that level of nostalgia.
