I received a medium 12" High!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!

I go to Macys and show the supervisor the 12" High one I received and they say they don't have it in 16.25" High and they cannot help me get the 16.25" H!!! Its on the website. It has the measurements for all the Brooklyn Backpacks at 16.25 with and without the gold studs. Michael Kors makes it in 16.25 so I don't know why Macys won't honor what I was supposed to receive. This is for my niece to use for school which is why I chose this one. Its to match the wallet I bought her. I wish someone could help me fix this issue and get me the backpack I ordered in 16.25" High please. I love Macys but this is heartbreaking to my niece who opened a gift that had to be taken away from her because it doesn't fit her books with 12" High. Someone in corporate office please help me???? Help make my niece and I happy please. :(
