Can’t figure out how to return
I bought it in August and have taken to the repair store after 8 hours of sewing on it.Not happy

Defective Bobbin
I finally decided to face a life-long fear and embrace a dream! I decided that I COULD learn to use a sewing machine and make my own patterns. I am an excellent seamstress by hand and understand garment construction, but it takes SO LONG to realize a pattern. I did so much research. I was meticulous . People that teach Pattern Making recommended a Singer Heavy Duty. This one was the best-rated. I bought all the accessories because I am experimenting with Fashion Design. I cleared a place in my apartment. SO EXCITED!!!! Try a practice Straight stitch , a big tangle of thread jams up the machine. I have to take the whole thing apart, and change the needle. I try again. The machine exploded and the bobbin cover, bobbin, and bobbin housing from inside the machine flew at my face! Thank God I was I was wearing glasses. Definitely defective. It made me sob honestly. I was so disappointed.

High Quality Machine - Recommended by a Tailor
This is the best sewing machine out there IMO. My friend who is a tailor said it’s the one all the tailors have onsite for jobs. Can’t believe it’s so affordable and so good. I’ve had it for a year now and LOVE IT. Very durable and high quality. Does the job with no fuss.

Hateful machine
I bought this last week and have been learning on it so far it has eaten one of my projects and is in the process of tearing up another I regret buying this and had I not thrown out all of it’s packaging I would return it

Singer heavy duty machine
Love the machine.Sewing through many layers without any issue. Making jelly roll rugs and rope bowls.

Do NOT buy!
This date WORST sewing machine EVER! It sewed well for about an hour and then the "bird nesting" began. Started over multiple times. Then the bobbin holder popped out. This went on & on. Returned and bought a new one. Nope! The same thing happened again and again. Checked everything out, made sure I was using the right equipment and tension both times. Returning the second one since it did the same exact thing. It was not a one time defect,, it is the machine sku! Never will I buy another Singer. They are NOT built with the quality they once were. I bought a different machine from a different company and I have been happily sewing ever since!

Not worth it.
Worst machine I have ever used. The lever arm keeps throwing the thread off which causes nesting. I have emailed singer multiple times about the issues with this machine but they think I don't know how to use it. My Singer simple was so much better than this machine.

We are sorry to hear of the trouble you are having with your machine. It looks like you are using your metal bobbins. You will need the plastic Class 15 bobbin for this machine. That will be the reason for the birdnesting. JA
Not My Great-grandmother' Singer
I learned to sew on my great-grandmother's treadle Singer. I purchased this Singer to replace my 1970s metal Kenmore that I regret having given away. I was looking for a basic machine and this is basic, but it very light weight metal and flimsy and it did not stitch smoothly (not talking about tension) -- it was kind of jerky when producing the stitches. Don't know if a more expensive machine will give me what I'm looking for, but I will not buy online again -- there is nothing like trying a machine out in person before purchasing. Singer was wonderful about allowing me to return my machine and gave me a quick refund.
