bargain

These are not bad at all, they're soft and think. the price for such quality is really a bargain.

Not a fan, missing flap

No flap so brushes fall out onto the floor. The big brush is too large, it hangs over the edge of the roll. The brush roll was cut too small. I saw that this was posted in another review & smashbox deleted the entire listing & erased the bad review. Very shady. The smaller thinner brushes fall out. I nearly lost one. This is not professional quality. The flap is supposed to be there as a dust cover & to prevent brushes from slipping out. This is a design flaw. I regret buying this. It's overpriced & there are better sets on the market for less. The roll isn't elastic so it doesn't hold the brushes in place. I don't trust this company, they deleted honest & verified reviews. They took down this set offline, wiped out the reviews & relisted it. The beauty industry needs an independent agency to approve reviews as a plug in. They don't approve one star reviews. Buyer beware. They filter out reviews with cons listed even if it's accurate. The tiny slim mirror is useless, just for quick touchups. pointless. There is room for an additional brush, especially if you put the two slim ones together. The brow brush is dual ended so should be in an elastic not a pocket. I don't like this set. It comes in a box, is patent leather, & has a velcro clasp. There are red handled brushes for a fraction of this price. I was duped into paying for a loreal brand name. it also arrived in a black cardboard outer box with black tissue paper, which is extra waste in the landfill. I ended up keeping the gift box to store my smash box collection but I don't like that most of the palettes have carmine, a dye from bugs. They finally have a vegan tab up now. Last month it was blank & empty. Also my smash cash says out of stock. Um. Also shady. It's points, it doesn't go out of stock. They disabled it during a sale so we can't use them. I'm not a fan of this brand. The site logs me out every few minutes & erases my shopping basket, super frustrating. I want to redeem rewards & close my account.
