Frustrated

I have been using these eyeliners for years and used to love them. I still love the colors -French Navy, Violetta, and Penny Lane. I tend to order all 3 colors at once. The last time I ordered (Oct 2025), they were a huge disappointment. The French Navy was broken in so many places that the color stick simply fell out of the pencil after a few weeks of use. The Violetta would not "click up" properly. I managed to make it work for a short while until the color stick broke and I couldn't advance what remained in the pencil. Penny Lane is also not clicking up properly but so far I can make it advance enough to use. I want to replace these but am hesitant because I don't know if the issue has been resolved. I even tried calling the customer service number provided to others in this review thread and simply found myself in an automated hold loop that never connected.

Mixed Emotions

I've been using this eyeliner for years. I typically will stock up when I purchase my makeup, and typically this pencil will last a while. The black and brown pencils have proven to stay "fresh" if I haven't opened the package. The navy failed me. Completely dry and unusable. Not sure if that is how the navy liner is all the time, or if I happened to get a dud. Either way, I can't afford to experiment with a new color again.

defective... broke within a week

I have been using these Smashbox eyeliners for years, and just purchased two from Macys. Both of their liners snapped off and were useless within a week. I tried to return/exchange through the website (online purchase) and it was a hassle. Lesson learned.

YES IT DOES SHARPEN!!

I USE PHYSICIANS FORMULA DUAL PENCIL SHARPENER. IT SHARPENS GREAT! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. IT'S THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES NOT MELT BY THE END OF THE DAY.
