not my favorite primer
The brush on this I feel might be better for regular mascara. For a primer, it just doesn’t work. I don’t feel like it applies the primer evenly and I don’t see a difference with or without it like I do with other primers

Love this lash primer! I didn't at first, but then I realized I was using it wrong. The bristles are genius and make my lashes look amazing with any mascara.

Life Will Never Be The Same
I pump the applicator, apply two light coats with the brush side, then a third light coat with the comb side. I wait about 1-2 minutes, carefully brush off any tiny 'clumps' with my finger tip, then apply one of my favorite mascaras (#1 is Too Faced Better Than Sex, but Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, Milk Kush, or Hourglass Caution Extreme are also really good!)
Disappointed
Love Smashbox, but not this product! It clumps my lashes. Also, white color isn’t invisible, and it clumps and fall on face. Will return for Lancôme’s product.
LOVE the brush
This mascara primer has the most unique, amazing brush that's perfect for separating and fanning out lashes before applying mascara. If you're noticing that your mascara is clumping together and creating 4 awkward spider legs then you need this in your makeup bag! It makes sense that the mascara primer would have a different brush than the regular mascara. You first need to separate your lashes to create that false lash look that mascara alone can't do as well. I was also very pleased with how long my mascara lasted and the size of the tube is definitely worth the money!

Hate the brush
I have used the primer in the past and loved it. The primer now has a different brush that is worthless. I won't buy it again.

Worst Primer
If you like putting lotion on your eyelashes, then this is the product for you! I have been using primer mascara for years and this is the worst one I gave ever used. I love the face that Smashbox products are cruelty-free but that alone is not reason enough to purchase the product. When using this primer, it goes on smoothly, but it does not stay on, nor does it help mascara stay on. Maybe I could use it at night to condition my eyelashes as it seems to be a nice eyelash lotion that wipes right off...

This is an excellent product but you do have to make sure the tip is cleaned off before applying
