Very versatile, lots of features.
My only problem is that after only a couple of weeks I received a warning that the iPlayer service would no longer be available on this device after March 2025. I have tried updating the device, but the warning is still there. So I need to know how to update/upload software in order to be able to continue using BBC iPlayer

Faulty Product
The only way the device turns on is for me to disconnect the power lead and then re-connect kit. Does not work with remote or manual

Out dated
I needed a new dvd player and without a doubt this does the job well, but (and there always is one) the app side is disappointing. Technology moves fast and this has been left standing in the shadows, I would expect support for all the free view catch-up apps such as itvx, but you only get iPlayer. Come on Sony please update the software and get a five star rating.

Easy
Very easy set-up, including setting controller for non-Sony TV. Looks to be low power consumption (given the converter vs regular power cord). If there are problems, will modify this review. Bought this to replace previous Sony player which would no longer register a disc... but still use it a surround sound for this unit.

Nice Features
I have only had this for a week but so far it seems like a really good product. It has some nice features such as being able to use a USB plugged into the front for movies, photos, and music. I have used Sony for many years for televisions and other equipment and have always had good results with using their products.
