I love this lens

I bought the Sony FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS about a month ago and finally got the chance to use it recently, and I’m impressed. Yes, it’s a bit heavy, but that’s completely expected for a professional 400mm f/2.8 lens. Once you see the results, you forget about the weight. The bokeh is absolutely stunning — smooth, creamy, and beautifully separates the subject from the background. It gives images that premium, cinematic look that’s hard to match. The autofocus is incredibly fast and precise, locking onto subjects instantly and tracking them effortlessly. Perfect for wildlife and action photography. Sharpness is outstanding, build quality is top-tier, and overall it feels like a true flagship G Master lens. I genuinely love it, totally worth it.

Favorite Sports Lens

Words don't do this lens enough justice. But "Best Lens Ever" is pretty close. It does everything as advertised and takes excellent photos. I am very happy with my purchase.

Primes rule!

I was extremely pleased with the IQ of the Sony Primes vs the zooms lens. They are very expensive but less than Nikon. If you can justify the cost you will see a noticeable difference in IQ from the primes.

The Best Lens For Nature Photography

Just love it! The brightness of this lens is just amazing at F2.8mm. Most ideal and needed for nature photography. At 400mm it is also just nice.

Great Quality

I love every about the Len Except for the lens hood. It would be a lot better if it was like the Minolta 600 lines that I had at one time, the Lions hood slid back it did not come off the lens I really like that all you had to do was slide it back and twist it and lock it on and then put the lens cover on.
