Great live-streaming camera
Just purchased this camera. It had a bit of a learning curve, considering the extensive menu, but for my purposes, which was live-streaming an video capture, it served well. Good sound capture with the built in microphone, including when mounted to a V-twin motorcycle in traffic (the spoken word is fairly clear).

Brilliant and Exciting - it's a SONY
Bought this camera for my holiday trip to Kelantan, Malaysia recently. I think the SONY ZV-1 is almost the perfect compact camera. The image quality from a modern 1 inch Stacked CMOS sensor is amazing, brilliant ZEISS lens with optical stabilisation and Bionz X image processor. I'm not a video person, but I records some videos just for fun and it's great. I don't know much about technical stuff in video so I just record purely in Auto Mode. My only wish list for this model is that if only we can get the EVF while retaining the flash hotshoe port though I don't mind a smaller fix LCD screen at the back as a sacrifice, then this would be absolutely PERFECT for me. Different user may have different expectation. Then again, although this is a vlogging camera but it still a good photo snapper for me and I love it. For most of my casual non-professional purpose, this camera is fun and easy to use. I personally prefer this model over the ZV-1F and the newer ZV-1 II.

It's not bad, but sometimes you can't take a picture while in zoom (depending on how far the subject is) However, the features are great, and you can use it for vlogging too. (it has a recording feature)

However, it has limited Zoom Range and a short battery life. It does not have weather sealing. And it’s slightly pricey compared to other compact cameras.

Good camera but overpriced
Costs a lot for what it is. Does have good settings but the cost is very high, especially since there’s no built in flash so you if you need one you’d have to purchase one separately

It was good but
It was good but a hated where they put the battery compartment and I hated how short the battery life was
