Pretty Melamine

Beautiful, presentable even though it is in melamine. Great to bring over at potlucks so if you forget it, you’ve presented your food really well, and won’t mind so much if you lose it.

Casual lunch necessities

Wonderful for every day sandwich, with a side of chips or chopped fruit. Will also hold a cup of soup. Wash up easy. Durable.Sturdy.

Picnicwear

Colors are lighter than pictured and relatively inconsistent across plate. Appropriately priced cheap picnic wear. Not necessarily the quality I would expect from Spode; seems like an outlet seconds.

Beautiful and Practical Small Sandwich Tray

Such a beautiful small tray. Great for serving sandwiches, veggies, or pastries. The other Spode dishes in the collection are porcelain. However, this tray is made of melamine which is a plastic material. This type of material is great for outdoor serving or serving meals to children or clumsy adults because it won't easily break. It's also lightweight. A fantastic summer piece! I wish they made more melamine dishes to match this one. The brand name on the label says "Portmeiron" on the label, not "Spode" in case that matters. I believe Portmeiron owns Spode. This is a classic Spode French Countryside pattern.

Good enough

Pretty but looks nothing like porcelain, also arrived so twisted (one corner almost an inch higher than other 3 corners) that I had to press with heavy weights for a week+ just to flatten). Good paper plate substitute.
