Ordered 5 days ago still waiting for it to ship

I ordered this Spode Christmas Mug set for a gift (That I needed within 1 week) and it said it would arrive in 3-5 business days. It's been 5 days and it hasn't even been "processed" yet... so NOT even ready to ship. I contacted customer service (online) and they informed me they couldn't do anything until the delivery date has lapsed. This is not a reliable process. I don't know if it's out of stock or delayed or what?????
