Heels are too hard

The style is great and the size runs true. HOWEVER the heels are so hard that they hurt my feet and peeled my skin. I am only able to wear them with a band aid, even then it is not comfortable. Generally this is the problem with Steve Madden shoes. The style is great but the shoes are too hard :(

I bought the beige boots, these runs small. I am a true 7 and ordered 7.5 and still small.

These boots are comfortable and above all else they actually fit around the calf (I had a heck of a time finding boots with a shaft that did not gape in the calf area).
