so cute but proportions off for me

I have a curvy/ pear shaped figure and the proportions were not flattering. Not cinched enough through the waist and first tier of banding hugged at the widest part of the hip. Also, the lining is polyester - such a shame for a cotton dress. I really wanted to love this because the color and style are so cute, but just not flattering for me. Probably good for a taller, slimmer body
