Beautiful vest but …..

I was thrilled to receive this vest as a Christmas gift from my husband UNTIL I opened the package. It was obvious that someone had previously worn it, as it reeked of heavy perfume. Could it be that it was worn for an event, then returned for refund? Macys should do a better job to prevent that by putting tags on the outside front of the garment. l really love the vest and will keep it; can’t exchange since it’s no longer available in my size and will have to pay for dry-cleaning to get the smell out. 😡
