this sweatshirt has a terrible smell

So far I have washed this twice and it doesn't smell as bad but still has a terrible odor. I had to immediately put the package it came in outside in the garbage. in fact the item it was packaged in did not look original. It smelled like garlic and body odor and I can't return it because it was discounted. it's so soft, looks lovely but I can't wear it and would not even donate it. very disappointing
