Sleeves are oddly tight

I love the deep burgundy color of this top, and happily it's 100% cotton. I originally purchased a small, which fit me perfectly, but the sleeves were oddly tight, especially when reaching for something. I exchanged for a medium, which is much looser on my frame. The sleeves still have a slight tightness to them when reaching, but it's more comfortable.
