Beautiful pendant, incredibly short flimsy chain

When my Mother opened her gift this Mother’s Day, she loved how beautiful the pendant sparkled. Upon extracting it from the box however, she asked if this was “intended for a child?” The chain is extremely short, and flimsy. I asked her if she wanted me to return it, but opted to take it to her local jewelry store to have a double ended chain placed on both sides of the pendant. So, unless you have a tiny, slender neck (and my Mom doesn’t have a large neck,) plan on investing more money for another chain that can be attached to both sides of the pendant.
