Runs too small. Fitting is very awkward

I loved this dress when I saw it online but the fitting was so off. I tried in both sizes 12 and 14 and none fit me. I am usually a size 12 and I never had issues with other brands even with other outfits from tahari but this dress is just ill fitted. Also it’s very short. It’s kind of like a long shirt that you can wear with leggings but it looks weird that way because it’s built as a dress especially with the tie up on the front. This dress also arrived damaged. There was a big black paint mark when the dress arrived and the plastic was torn. This dress is designed for thin girls with lean thighs.
