Fun for the whole family!

The InvestiGators series is absolutely delightful. As a mother of 2 elementary school boys, I can't tell you how much the entire family loved this book. There were so many times that I was laughing because of the puns in this book. Caution, there is a bit of potty humor. If that is a battle you are fighting in your house, this may not be the book for you. Overall, this book is just a lot of fun. If your kids enjoy Dav Pilky books, they will definitely love the InvestiGators series.

Funny and Smart

My six year old son was waiting all summer for this release. I love that the “big” words are usually accompanied by a ton of context clues. For example, in one panel the word “botanist” is in bold. A character says “if I was stuck in a tree, then I would need a plant doctor.” I asked my son what the word “botanist” meant, and he was able to figure out that it was someone who takes care of plants. He has been reading the book independently otherwise! Since research shows that graphic novels help young readers learn to visualize text, I think this book is age appropriate and educational. We can’t wait for the next release!
