Taylor Coat is Wedding Elegant, Reception Casual

I attended a large wedding at a Beach Resort Hotel on Cape Cod. This excellent double breasted , navy blue coat , was perfect for the occasion. It was both elegant and casual . I felt comfortable and well dressed while meeting Sr. New York Attorneys as well as the youthful bridal party and their many artistic friends. This coat looked great with button down white shirt, no tie, dark slacks and topsider boat shoes. “ Nautical Chic” a phrase used in the invitation, was met and surpassed with this no nonsense coat. When meeting strangers confidence in one’s appearance is necessary. The Taylor Collection Navy Blue Double Breasted Coat exceeded my expectations .

Patch Pockets

I don’t own this jacket, I saw and tried it on in store. It has unflapped patch pockets, unlike most Tayion double breasted jackets. Looks and feels nice. Might be too informal for some. Jacket runs large. Size down, especially if you’re on the lower end of your size. Sleeves are long [I normally have to get my sleeves lengthened, didn’t here]. Body? I see lots of jackets that stop halfway across the butt. This covers my entire seat. Stops RIGHT below it. So, I wouldn’t say it’s long but it’s not one of those half-butt-covering jackets.
