Great teaching tool

This product was purchased primarily to teach students about the conversion of light energy to electrical energy. I love that the solar cell is attached to the motor so my teaching goal can be demonstrated right out of the box without building anything and there is never a concern about the connection between those 2 pieces. The rovers/racers are straight forward to build and can withstand student drivers running them off the table. Bamboo is a great choice - flexible and very light and I love the added lesson on gears.

Fun building project

Christmas present for a 13 yr old in the spectrum. He enjoyed building; waiting out the solar powering; racing his vehicle against siblings;and has the model on his shelf of creative endeavors.
