Thank you Harper Collins for this opportunity to review this delightful childrens book. I love how thoughtful this little boy is and how full of gratitude as well. I adored catching a glimpse of his food journey during his day and his mission of finding his favorite, only to realize it’s not so much about his favorite food, but sharing the food with his loved ones that makes the food all the more special. A great book about the joy of gratitude!

Promotes healthy eating habits AND manners!
I don't generally review a lot of children's books, but I absolutely couldn't pass this one up! If you've ever seen these adorable TikTok videos with Grey and his Mama, then you can easily imagine my little 3-year-old who always says it just the same, "Thank you Mama," for just about everything, in his adorable little toddler speak. And if I don't reply immediately with, "You're welcome!" he will hound me until I do. Ever had those moments you think, "Man, I wish I'd thought of that!" Who'd have known something so simple could go viral?! My little man absolutely loves this book and always asks me to reread it to him! The photos are bright and cheerful, and I love that it promotes healthy and diverse eating habits AND manners! Yes, please! This children's book is great for early readers, ages 3-7, as it includes words for each item. It also encourages familial bonding which is a great benefit! Perfect for Mother's Day as well, of course! Thank you Thomas Nelson , Linda Meeker, and TLC for sharing this adorable hardcover gem with us!

Positive and full of family care
Saying 'thank you' is not a topic I've often seen in the picture book world, and yet, it's an important one, which shouldn't be overlooked. Plus, aren't those pancakes with whipped cream and berries inviting? This little boy is hungry and wants a special breakfast, but when asked what he would like to eat, he's stumped. He should just chose his favorite food, but there are so many things he enjoys eating. The moment the variety pops into his head, he finds himself considering all the things he enjoys eating through the rest of the day. Food is key in this book, and it made me smile that this boy constantly seemed hungry. Many types of food are presented, and a nice portion swing in the Asian kitchen's direction...which adds a nice touch on the culture-broadening end. Listeners/readers will recognize many of the foods the boy likes to eat, and there are new ones, they might have not considered, as well. But this isn't only about food. The boy's thoughts also include his relatives, and his enjoyment of eating with them. So, there's quite a bit of family warmth involved. The illustrations are bright, cheerful, and hold enough details to keep readers coming back and finding something new. The boy and his family are presented as friendly and kind, and even the food invites. The text flows along smoothly and makes for a good read-aloud. I received an ARC and enjoyed the variety and positive atmosphere.
