Good for Patient Readers.

I read this for my 8th Grade ELA class. It has some great tips and advice that I will definitely be using, but it has one glaring problem. I'm a patient reader, don't get me wrong. I love things like Harry Potter and Keeper of the Lost Cities, and this book is no different. I'm not saying it is too long of a book, but each chapter feels extremely repetitive. For the first couple pages, it has lots of new things to bring to the table, but the farther through the chapter, the more you realize it's just repeating itself over, and over, and over. I understood 15 pages ago that I should not center my life around friends and achievements. I wish it would do something more each chapter to compensate for its length, but alas, that is not the case. I would recommend this book if you're willing to be patient.
