Plot Twist

Rick Riordan, finally, changes his typical plot narrative slightly. This plot twist, however, does not come until the end and is why I give this instalment 3 stars. The twist involves a major character introduced in his previous series The Heroes of Olympus. I also still find Apollo to be annoying and believe he will never fully grasp the lessons he's learning as a human.

Great Book

This is another amazing book by Rick Riordan. I definitely recommend that you get this book if you liked the previous books in the series. Or, if you like mythology, specifically Greek mythology, then I think that you would love this book. If you haven't read the two series that come before "The Trials of Apollo", then I recommend reading those before reading this one. Rick Riordan's writing ability is amazing and he's able to draw you straight in and make you not want to put the book down. As one would guess, he has an admirable storytelling ability. the way that he tells the story really helps you picture the scenes really well. the way that he describes the characters and their surroundings really lets you picture yourself being there. Whenever I read this book I would lose track of time and I almost felt like the world around me disappeared. I also appreciated his ability to write a haiku for every single chapter and put it at the start. even though haikus are easy to make and don't take that long, you run out of material quickly and I like that he was able to make 47 different haikus.

Yet Another Rick Riordan Masterpiece...

The Trials of Apollo: The Burning Maze is the third book in The Trials of Apollo series by Rick Riordan. Fans of the Percy Jackson series will love this spinoff starring the legendary former god Apollo as he goes on a quest to save the five Oracles and become a god again. With an expansive cast of new characters, along with some fan-favorites returning from Riordan’s previous series, this book is entertaining for long-time followers and newcomers alike. As fans have seen and loved in his books, The Trials of Apollo upholds Rick Riordan’s funny one-liners and wise-cracking sense of humor. It also maintains the adventure and constant sense of danger that lurks in every demigod’s life. Whether you are new to Rick Riordan’s demigod books or you have been a devotee since the Percy Jackson series, this book is one you will surely enjoy. PERCY RULES!!!
