The braiser was well packed but it was delivered inside another box that was loosely packaged. What I can conclude is the item was so loose during transit the lid was chipped, since the chips are still in the bag. Even as a final sale, the item was not cheap. you would hope that Macy’s would ensure items were not damaged during transit.

I had this 7 quart cast iron dutch oven in my cart for many months before I finally decided to go ahead and complete the purchase. I was on the fence because it was a no return, final purchase item and some of the comments complained of the lid arriving with a chip. I am SO GLAD I did buy it! It arrived very well packaged and perfect. The blue color is absolutely beautiful. I've made 3 amazing meals so far. It cleans up very easily. The only thing to know that some may find as a put off would be the weight. It is heavy. Other than the weight being a small but manageable not so great thing, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I really would 100% recommend. I am excited to make some homemade bread in it.
