Book was too long for my taste

This book was interesting, but was too long in my opinion. I don’t mind long books but this one felt like it just went on and on and on .

Amazing read...

Despite the massive size of this book, I couldn't put it down. It is an epic tale. I thought about the characters long after I finished and can't wait to see when it's adapted to the screen!

Boring impossible to read

I bought this book because Oprah says it amazing. OMG I’m on page 224 of a 724 page book. I don’t care to be honest it’s boring. I seriously don’t know if I can finish it. I’m not engaging with anything or anyone in this book. I don’t care what happens to the characters I can barely understand it. What I do understand it’s just depressing from the moment you start it. Good luck if you want to take it on but it’s a total BORE,

Should available on other platforms

It's a literary masterpiece, written in a sophisticated and poetic style. I swear I could smell the water, which is mentioned frequently in the book, thanks to the vivid characters and realistic settings created by the exquisitely detailed writing. I lost myself in the pages, totally transported to the St. Thomas Christians of Southern India. Because of how compelling the story is, even though it is a lengthy read, I never felt intimidated or let my attention stray. I was carried away by the characters' life currents and experienced their laughter and tears with them. Over all, the book was worth it! I also tried to find it on other platforms too, but I didn't get it. I think this should get published on other online publishing platforms like Kindle, Shabd.in etc. so it can reach more people.

I read this book in one week.

I love books that are so good that I just can't put them down and don't want them to end. This is one of those books. The author's mastery of words is exquisite. It was also quite a history lesson about a culture I knew nothing about. Highly recommended.
