This parka was made way too cheap for the selling price. The quality, versatility leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, I question the authenticity of said “fox fur.” The shedding of this coat is unbearable!! And while attempting to remove the shedded hairs from my black sweater, I also noticed too many cotton (faux fibers) masked between the real fox fur. But how is that? When the description says “fox fur lining?” I decided to take it to a major fur company to get their opinion of this “fox.” They informed that it is a blend...50/50 fox fur mix. “Fox fur mix?”...that’s not what was advertised nor what I paid for. This is not the quality of fur that I’ve become accustomed to from The Fur Vault.
Best Product ever
I am very happy with this Parka, the fur is soft and absolutely gorgeous, Couldn’t find a better quality anywhere else. The coat looks as good on or better than in the picture. Generous size. Enough room for a sweater under it. Well worth the money, if you are looking for a very warm and not to bulky outdoors Parka. Thank you Macys
Not in love
For the price, I should love it....it's only OK, so it's going back. The size was generous, which is great in a coat so there is room for sweaters.....but, the shell, a kind of waxed cotton, was not super nice and seemed a bit cheap as an outer layer for a fur. The fur itself is not soft and luscious like fox usually is, this was bristly and spiky, so it didn't feel great, Also, while it looked good in the picture, it did not look so nice in person either - more like it was made of leftovers than an intentional design. To "convert" the jacket involved many, many tiny little buttons with elastic loops over them, and several zippers which can easily grab the fur -- so be careful! Once apart, the options seem endless, there are removable sleeves, the hood can go on or off the vest -- or perhaps on the coat without the fur liner. The shell can even be worn as a plain sort of jacket -- although I'm not too sure why since the fabric is not so nice, on it's own it is rather flimsy and the level of weatherproofing is unclear. Particularly weird though was that to wear the liner as a "vest" requires wearing the liner inside out (inside on the outside) but the inside of the liner had several tags! So I guess minor surgery had to be performed and care instructions lost. Generally not impressed. I should have ordered a different model at the same time and kept the better one as the prices are now substantially higher.
Perfect Parka
I took a lot of time to find a parka that would be warm, stylish & unique. I found all when I found this Parka. The Parka did not disappoint. Blown away when I received it. A few road blocks for me was that there was nothing on the post to gage sizing. This Parka runs big. I ordered the large, my size a 12 & I m busty. I have a lot of room for sweaters. The draw strings allows me to tighten where needed. The details are amazing. As with anything you buy it was a little disappointing that the price dropped considerably after ordering. I still would highly recommend- made well & adorable. Perfect for me.
