Three of the great American novels by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the incomparable chronicler of the Jazz Age, are all together in one keepsake volume.F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote some of the most acclaimed novels of the 20th century, and literary scholars regard him as one of the finest American writers of all time. His stories were the stories of the “Lost Generation,” Americans who came of age after World War I, amid Prohibition and the rise of jazz, and who responded to the uncertainty and change of the time by living each day to the hilt. Included in this attractive, leather-bound volume of Fitzgerald's most notable long-form works are tales of wealth, romance, and scandal: The Great Gatsby, This Side of Paradise, and The Beautiful and Damned. It's a time capsule of America in the 1920s and 1930s.

Leaves Me Wanting More Fitzgerald

I had to read this for school and instantly fell in love. (It was helpful to have the Leonardo DiCaprio movie to understand the visuals and characters a bit better.) I think there's a little bit of all of us that would want someone to love us the way Gatsby loves Daisy (but then that misses the whole point of idealization and focus on the us we show the world versus who we are - kind of like what's happened with social media).

Lovely Edition!

Since everyone already knows this is a great story written wonderfully, my review will solely focus on the features and quality of this edition. In terms of quality, I have absolutely no complaints. It arrived at my home in perfect condition— there weren’t even battered edges, which I find to be quite common when I buy books online. As for the features, I find them all very aesthetic and well executed. The inside of the cover has a thick, metallic patterned page before going into the text. The pages themselves have what I’d call an averages size text and one inch margins. The pages are cut cleanly and gilded in gold to match the front cover. The back cover is gorgeous too, and pictures Gatsby looking out at the infamous green light. I’ve included pictures since the product doesn’t show them. Overall, I only have one complaint, and it’s so tiny that I considered not even mentioning it. The page that the ribbon bookmark was nestled into did have an indent from the ribbon. Additionally, the way the ribbon was a jacked in did leave is creased about three inches from the bottom. Of course, these are common and nitpicky, and the creased ribbon can easyily be pressed if it bothers you so. I 100% recommend this edition.
