Can’t put this down!!
This book is as good as if not better than the first book. It is filled with so many plot twists and “wait what??”moments. I cannot recommend this series enough. If you want a fast paced, mystery filled and romantic book, this is for you. I think this book is appropriate for 13+. Team Jameson!!

Amazing Book
I hadn't expected to like this book as much I did when I had finished reading it. All of the puzzles were fun to watch as the characters figured them out and the romance that is sprinkled in I enjoyed. I'm excited to read the third book of this series and look forward to it.

Thrilling & Clever Sequel!
This was a fast-paced and clever sequel, building on the mysteries and puzzles of book one and launching into new life-changing reveals and danger. With all the tension in Hawthorne House, there’s much-needed levity whenever Avery talks with Max, with her hilarious made-up curse language. I still wasn’t a fan of the love triangle but it felt more genuine and developed in this book than the first. After I finished this, I dove immediately into book 3!

The plot thickens
I couldn't remember the first book much but I still dived in on this book. The plot thickens when we learn more about Avery's parentage and the characters are just getting more interesting. This was definitely such a good ride!

Jaw dropped
So many twist and turns but I love. Grayson takes the stage in this! Love it and am currently waiting to get The Final Gambit, can't wait! Definitely read the series

LOVE THIS SERIES SO FAR!
Review by @readwithkathrynn on Instagram! 4.5⭐️ I adore this series!! First off, I am team Jameson all the way!! I was not anticipating on reading this series yet, but now that I've started, I cannot stop. These books are SO fast-paced and keep my attention so well. The puzzle elements are SO intricate, and I thought this book was so much more intriguing than the first and touched on so many more elements of the plot. I enjoyed the travelling of the characters in this book to different settings like True North and Rockaway Watch since one of the things I didn't enjoy so much about the first book was how constrained the setting felt (it felt like we were just always at Hawthorne House). I get so confused sometimes reading these books just because there are SO many details and SO many things happening at once, so sometimes I need to take a break and process what I read and piece it together in my head, but after I sit on it, it always makes so much more sense. Overall, I am really enjoying the action, mystery, & romance in these books and I am eager to read #3!!
