Truth and beauty and hope...

And yet another review from last summer, but I just couldn't bring myself to turn this bright photo into a black and white for a Throwback. In all honesty, I've no idea what took me so long to review this gem! Most of you heard this extraordinary poem on Inauguration Day. It was incredibly emotional for me. It spoke truth and beauty and hope. Amanda Gorman was absolutely magnificent and her light shone so brightly that day. I had to grab a hard copy of her poem to read and re-read, because it was so meaningful to me: "When day comes, we ask ourselves, where can we find light in this never-ending shade?" "If we merge mercy with might, and might with right, then love becomes our legacy and change, our children's birthright." "For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it... If only we're brave enough to be it." And a hush fell over the crowd...

Inspiring

Upon hearing this powerful poem by Amanda Gorman on Inauguration Day, I had to have my own copy. I could read it every day and not grow tired of it. I really love that it speaks to all generations and calls all of us to be in service to our country.
