Another mystical journey with Ophelia!

The Missing of Clairedelune is the second in the Mirror Visitor series, and another mystical journey with Ophelia. This series is slowly unfolding for me like beautiful little butterfly wings. Slow and steady, and as one friend has told me often, trust the author. I loved the second book in this series just as much as the first. Maybe more. It’s incredibly mysterious and enchanting, and it’s so easy to picture these magical scenes in your head as your reading. Ophelia and Thorn are such slow burn romantics - like really really slow, but you just know it’s lingering there in the background without them (or maybe mostly Ophelia) even realizing it. The characters are odd, curious ones that you become attached to especially Farouk and Archibald. And the ending of this book is amazing. If you’re looking for a cliff hanger say no more, this is the one. It both wraps up pieces, but then drops more questions almost in the same instant. Fantastic. I’m loving this series.

Simply Brilliant

Once again, I am at a loss for words. I have nothing more to say since my last review. I tried my best not to finish this book in a day, knowing the despair I would feel for having to wait for the third book. I only succeeded in postponing my curiosity for a day longer. I consumed this book, unable to put it down. What can I even say about it? The detail, the flow, the characters, and the writing. All so beautifully put together, I felt like I was watching each scene rather than reading words on a page. I adore Thorn, since the moment I met him in book one. The ending stole my breath away. I felt shock, anger, dread, and delight. I simply cannot describe my experience past this jumble of thoughts. Maybe one day. Till then, I eagerly await the next book.

Slow burn, lovely

A beautiful second novel in the series. If i could re-read these books for the first time again, I would be a happy camper! Slow burn romance, characters that are complex and true to themselves.

It gets even better!

This book is...incredible. Perfect. My favorite in the entire series. The mystery is incredible, the romance is incredible (though still subtle), I did not want it to end. This time Ophelia is in the spotlight and the conversations and situations that ensue are captivating. As always, Christelle Dabos creates a magical world you do not want to leave. If you read the first book and are wondering if you should start this one, I am begging you to pick this up. The previous world-building was so incredibly worth it.
