In this cinematic thriller set in the Pacific Northwest, two sisters fight for survival after a natural disaster. In the shadow of Mount Hood, sixteen-year-old Tennant is checking rabbit traps with her eight-year-old sister Sophie when the girls are suddenly overcome by a strange vibration rising out of the forest, building in intensity until it sounds like a deafening crescendo of screams. From out of nowhere, their father sweeps them up and drops them through a trapdoor into a storm cellar.

Still waiting for the sequel

I love the collaboration of Patterson & Barker and I am still thinking about this book all these years later. This book ends on a cliffhanger I am still thinking about and waiting for the authors to announce the next book. How much longer do I have to wait?! This book is kinda goofy and unrealistic but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Huge fan of James Patterson and JD Barker!

Intense and crazy book

What an intense and crazy book. This is not my normal genre but once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down. Let’s just hope nothing like this ever really happens. Great book James Patterson!
