Great for short ladies!
I'm 5'3" and live in the northern Rocky Mountains in Montana, and it gets quite cold here (as cold as -35°F sometimes, but usually between 0-25°F all winter, which lasts 7 months.) I have the Gotham Jacket II, but wanted something a bit longer to keep me more warm. I tried the Arctic Parka and Gotham Parka but felt they were both too long and made me look silly (like a child wearing my mom's clothes, lol). The Transit Jacket II is PERFECT! It covers my hips/rear end without going all the way to my knees. I like how the front is a tad bit shorter so it doesn't seem as long on me. The waist is tapered a bit, which I appreciate as a curvy woman. I wear a Medium in all things TNF and this was no different. It's even a bit more roomy than my Gotham Jacket II in the same size. I've ordered faux fur trim from another website to add some style to the jacket (and I've found a fur lined hood actually helps reflect snow from my face as it's falling!) Thanks for thinking of us short girls, The North Face! Not everyone can wear a 38" long coat.

Suitable jacket for temps above 45 degrees
This parka is good for transitioning from cold winter temps to cooler spring temps. It is very lightweight and could use more down insulation. This jacket would not be warm enough on a cold winter day but more suitable for temps in 40s or 50s. Older NF parkas had more down filling and were warmer in frigid weather.

Great looks!
This is my first time buying NF jackets. I got this for my wife and I should say she's absolutely in love with this jacket. It's bit pricey but it's really worth it. It looks very stylish (red color) and feels comfortable during cold weather. Overall, very satisfied and I will possibly looking to buy similar ones for my kids.

Excellent jacket!
I purchased this jacket for my mother and she loves it. It is super comfy, warm and stylish. It does taper slightly at the midsection so it can feel tight depending on your waist size but all-in-all it is a great, true to size jacket.

Perfect Winter Jacket
This jacket is amazingly warm!! I wore this in Chicago for a trip and it was perfectly warm in the Windy City. It's a perfect jacket if you don't want to wear a lot of layers under your jacket

Warm and comfy
Comfortable and warm. My only complaint would be that the sleeves feel too large and puffy.
