I have to say I am a bit underwhelmed in this bag. I have been ordering SAK bags for years and love the soft leather. I also loved the little dangle on each bag. This bag came bare , not even the SAK design interior material and it seemed a bit stiffer. It’s MEH However it does serve the purpose and the pockets are great. I’m still a fan of the SAK brand, design and fit.

Ashby satchel
I think this is a near perfect bag! It is roomy, looks great, and a perfect size for day to day. I love the pockets and there’s a place for everything! It may be my favorite Sak yet!

Nice bag
Chose the Ashby Satchel in tobacco snake to replace the Ashland Crossbody in dusty blue I purchased 2 years ago (It was really showing signs of wear, and the blue was fading) Although I only carry a wallet and small zip case for necessities, the larger interior of this bag will allow me to also carry a water bottle, if needed. The outside pockets are nice for slipping in mail, a shopping list or phone. The inside pockets accommodate a cell phone, or index/note cards, too. Because the lining of this bag isn't tacked down at the bottom or sides, when using the interior zipper pocket, the lining lifts and gets pulled along with the zipper (even with items in the bag), so you need to hold down the lining with one hand while zipping/unzipping the interior pocket - not a big deal, but these shortcuts in the details are what make all the difference between different handbag designers. Overall, a good looking bag for the price.
