Pure, Addictive Entertainment

I’m trying to watch less television and read more, but sometimes you just need great entertainment—a strong plot and story that keeps you turning pages, makes you root for the good guy as he chases down the bad guys. The Terminal List is perfect for exactly that. From start to finish, you just keep turning pages as Reece crosses names off his list. Jack Carr delivers a strong story with interesting characters and just enough action to keep things moving without overwhelming the narrative. It feels like watching a great movie, which is exactly what I needed. This isn’t literature that’s going to change your life or make you contemplate deep truths—it’s simply excellent entertainment done right. If you’re looking for a book that grabs you and doesn’t let go, that makes the hours disappear as you race toward the ending, this is it. Sometimes that’s exactly what reading should be.

Thrilling…

I picked up this book after watching the series on tv. The book was great and just different enough from the series to warrant a read.

A man and his friends I would want on my side

Am on book 3 and have enjoyed them all! I have nothing but respect for the men and women that are the "tip of the spear" and have been privileged to know a few. Dangerous men & women that get the job done so we can sleep at night. I grew up reading Le Carre, Clancy, Folett, Flynn and many others including Sun Tzu. Love the books and thank you for your service. I now have a list of fun "toys" to research, drool over and wish I had!

An incredibly exciting book

I typically buy books to help me relax before going to sleep. This book did not work for that purpose. Instead of reading one chapter I would read three or four and then put the book down because I had to get to sleep. For the flip side of this character try Flashman by George McDonald Frazier.

Great read and great series on Amazon

Outstanding book by a novice author. If you have down time in between reading, Thor, Child, Baldacci, Clancy, Cussler, DeMille and Flynn then this is the perfect writer for you. Great current day take on the US Special Forces community, politics and international affairs. What some of us take for granted or assume about the duties of our military, Carr brings to life. Even though our military has been weighed down by years of deployments, political rules of engagement and endless training cycles, they persevere. To quote Churchill, “We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm." Already half way through his second book, True Believer, I am excited to have found this great new action thriller writer.
