I picked this up because the synopsis seemed intriguing to me, but I absolutely hated the book. It was a fairly easy read, the imagery was not as strong as I hoped but I am able to paint scenes in my head really easily. I won't give many spoilers but some just have to be said. The first is that I found all of the characters to be fairly stereotypical to where nothing was much of a shock, besides the incest of course. The main character is beautiful and rich while her best friend, who was one of the only poc in the book was a drug addict. Another friend is bisexual and sleeps around a bit. Even the parents are, for the most part, stereotypical. Once it got to the incest it made me cringe, I hated reading through those chapters. The only characters I liked were the main queer character and her girlfriend. It was just a hard read and was dramatic but not in the good way like Pretty Little Liars, but in a way that made you just want to stop reading.

This book revamped my love of reading.I fell out of reading for a while because I had so much school work and it seemed I never had time, but this book brought me back to why I love to read in the first place. The characters are fully developed, relatable and intruiging. The romance is on point and not cheesy. It was so good that when I read it again it still made me cry- I am not very emotional so you know the book is good.
