Life Lessons for Girls
I had read this book first. Then purchased two more for my grand-daughters, ages 16 & 14. They need this type of positive reinforcement and guidance.

The Women of the Bible Speak
I used this book as my morning devotional and read one woman's story each day. It was the perfect way to start my mornings. Shannon Bream has such a gift for bringing these biblical women to life. I found myself picturing what life might have been like for each of them and seeing their struggles in a completely new light. She pulls out profound life lessons from every story that felt incredibly relevant to my own life. What I loved most was how the women are studied in pairs. The comparisons and contrasts between Sarah and Hagar, Rachel and Leah, Esther and Rahab, and the others really helped me dive deeply into their stories. Seeing them side by side showed me things I had never noticed before when reading their stories individually. The pairing approach gave me fresh insights and helped me understand not just each woman, but how their experiences relate to each other and to us today. This book is both accessible and thought provoking. Each chapter includes study questions at the end which would make it perfect for small group study too. Shannon Bream treats these women as real people with real struggles rather than just Bible characters. I came away with a deeper appreciation for how God used these women and the wisdom their stories still offer us. 5 stars
