Beautifully written

Judged a book by its cover. Assumed it was a scary thriller book. It was not but an odd storyline that was so well written. It captured me from the start. I loved the whole thing!! I highly recommend this book. Had me tearing up a couple times. Afterwards, I looked up and flagged more books by this author. Five stars for me!!!

Interesting

The writing of the book itself was good, the book itself however is pretty slow. It’s not a book you could read in one sitting. The author uses a lot of detail which is a plus.

Super good read for a weekend

Bought this book on a suggestion from a B/N bookseller. Could hardly put it down. It is a must for those who want an uplifting tale of love and of overcoming the ghosts of one's past.

Suspense, Tear Jerker, fast paced

This book is very well written, makes the reader want to keep reading to figure out the story. There is a little mystery in it as well. Definitely recommend!

Enjoyable

This was an enjoyable read about a father and daughter, living in a cabin in the woods. The father, Cooper, is afraid of losing custody of his 8 year old daughter, Finch, and does everything he can to keep them safely hidden in the woods. This novel was well written. The characters had depth and the setting was easy to visualize. The only inconsistency was that Finch, at 8 years old, finally lost her first tooth. That’s awfully old for losing the first baby tooth. Everything else seemed age appropriate. There was a lot covered in this book, about war trauma, the loss of loved ones, and self-doubt. Thank you to #NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review. - 4 stars

I didn't know who to root for or what to expect in this story, but it had me emotional near the end. Amazingly written with characters with a plot that kept me guessing
