Love them

absolutely love these shoes! They are the perfect combination of style and comfort. The classic design looks great with both casual and smart-casual outfits, making them very versatile.

The plans are to try again

I use these boots for walking our county roads and hiking nearby trails. This is my first pair of Maddsen after several pairs of White Ledge. I got tired of the toe separation on each pair of my White Ledge, which allows moisture to enter the toe box. In defense of the shoe, I usually have a couple hundred miles on them on some difficult trails. Thought I would give Maddsen a try. The stitching gave way after two or three months. Maybe a hundred miles or so. The plus is the company was very prompt is approving a replacement pair of boots.

More spacious then i thought for a 11.5 but works great

I bought a size that was .5 bigger than i needed but as i was using it during the heart of winter, I added extra socks and t felt perfect. Good breathing space and comfortable to wear for a long duration. Treading on the bottom could be better tho.

Great shoe however the sizing is quite off

I personally love this shoe. I have gotten quite a few questions and compliments on them while out and about. They are quite comfortable and a bit different looking than most of the other shoes I own. The only con is that they run about two sizes larger than what they are listed as.

Great shoe! Very comfortable and attractive design

While a boat shoe might visually lean more toward coastal prep than the technical Arc'teryx shells you normally run with, the Timberland Classic 2-Eye Boat Shoe in brown is fundamentally a piece of highly functional, heritage gear. From an anatomical perspective, this isn't just a flat leather slip-on. The interior is engineered with a 3/4-length leather-lined EVA footbed layered over Poron foam. If you are coming off a brutal 12-hour rotation at the hospital and your plantar fascia is shot, that specific foam density provides critical, immediate impact absorption without looking like a bulky orthopedic shoe. The construction of the upper relies on traditional handsewn moccasin techniques using premium full-grain leather. This means it molds to your specific foot geometry relatively quickly with minimal blister-inducing break-in time. The mechanical standout, however, is the non-marking, siped rubber outsole. "Siping" is a technique where microscopic slits are cut into the rubber—the exact same physics used in winter car tires and high-end slip-resistant hospital clogs. It actively displaces water to create a high-friction grip, meaning you won't be hydroplaning across wet pavement when you're commuting in the rain. The 360-degree rawhide lacing system is the final functional detail, allowing you to actually cinch the heel cup tight so your foot doesn't slip around. It bridges the gap between a sterile clinical aesthetic and casual, off-duty wear effortlessly. It's a durable, highly repairable piece of footwear that proves you don't need synthetic mesh to achieve all-day anatomical support.

Stylish and comfortable

A very comfortable shoe that is both modern and stylish. I wear a size 10 and this shoe runs true to size. I have gotten many compliments and another benefit is, at least for me, it did not take long to break in. I highly recommend for those wanting something to elevate their outfit especially with a cargo pant or loose fit jean.
