This stuff really really works!

I've been using this Waximum, Waxed Leather Protector, for over two years. I will say, two years ago, I believe that the formula that Timberland was using for this product was a little different, and it use to cause the Waximum to kind of chalk up on my boots during really cold outside nights, but that didn't stop it from protecting my boots; the chalkiness was only negative cosmetically, and even then, the Waximum would still melt back into it's true Waximum Finish (clean), once I got indoors. Now, with all of this being said, I just purchased this again, and I believe there's been a definite improvement in the formula, because it's now more rich, buttery, and Waxy. I expected this improvement from Timberland; advancements and improvements is what they're about, like their NEW line of FLEX Pro-Insoles.

Alternative to keep same color and matte finish

Makes the heritage 6 boots definitely darker. If you don't want that, use Red Wing leather cream for maintenance and Nikwax suede and nubuck waterproofing to protect against water and snow. Most waxes make the boots too smooth and let them shine, but I prefer a real matte finish as they came out of the box.

Great product - easy to use

Even though our weather has been very mild, the consistency was extremely firm. Adding a teaspoon of water and 15 seconds in the microwave produced a very creamy balm that was easy to spread into the seams. I have an older pair of chore chukkas that look fantastic after treating.
