Timberland boots forever
The boots were comfortable on my problem feet (pronation, bunions) from the get go and easily accomodate my orthotics. They replaced my very well-worn boots of a similar style (only a minor updating in materials used) and required no break-in period. The boots have a clean, unfussy, classic look, and use lacing rings and hooks for ease of tightening/loosening the laces and tying up. I hope they continue production of this classic style.

The best waterproof walking boots I have
I buy Timberland boots because they fit my narrow feet so well. I wear a bulky pr of socks & they're perfect, comfortable with the support I need. I have lots of different styles, they're just the best & a great company to deal with.

Not for every day use
Zookeeper here- I'm on my feet all day, outside, in various conditions like mud, water, slippery terrain, etc. I needed something durable and had high hopes. These boots were great at first, but busted after about 6 months of every day use. Yes, I probably wore them more often than most would, but I was still hoping they'd last a little longer based on other reviews. The material cracked on the outside by the balls of my feet pretty quickly and then continued splitting all the way through, making the shoe no longer water proof. Before they cracked, they did a good job of keeping water out (the blue part of the boot is not waterproof fyi). They did have good ankle support and traction and were pretty comfortable. I may recommend these if you aren't going to use them as often, but definitely not for frequent use.
