Short Sheeted

These pricey sheets are one of the largest disappointments ever. I bought one set directjy from Tommy Bahama and another from Amazon. I also bought a set of pineapple sheets from Marshall's. I purchased all three sets within a couple of weeks of each other. The background is that my king bed has an unusually thick mattress and no box spring. Additionally, I like to fully tuck in my sheets. Doing so requires that a flat sheet be 112" wide. I have had good luck with Tommy Bahama products in the past and wanted to upgrade my sheets. I also thought that the 108" width flat sheet would mostly meet my tucking in needs. I initially washed all three sets before using them for the first time and had good luck. They looked good on my bed and were (and are) comfortable. I am very sensitive to any laundry shrinking. I wash everything on the cold-water setting and only dry it on the lowest setting for a couple of minutes. I then line dry it. The fitted sheet on all three sets has shrunk so much beginning with the second wash that it rides up several inches on my mattress. I bought mattress clips to hold down the sheet, but it still rides up a bit exposing the mattress. I greatly regret buying these sheets.
