Poorly constructed

The boots looked great and they were comfortable for the first 4 hours I wore them for the very first time. Then the unthinkable happened. The heel popped off!!! I have never in my life had a heel just come off a pair of shoes. Someone at work tried to help me put it back together to no avail. I had to tip toe to my car and thankfully had some driving sneakers. The nails that kept the heel affixed to the rest of the shoe were quite short which smacks of poor design and construction. I'll be returning them for sure.
