From Hasbro and Takara Tomy comes the C-09 Cybertron Hero Set The set features anime-type versions of C-03 Bumblebee and C-04 Cliffjumber. The head is a new design based on the anime version. The paint on the arms, windows, lights, emblems, and weapons have been changed. Each figure can transform from robot mode to vehicle mode. Bumblebee comes with a blaster, while Cliffjumper comes with a blaster and a cannon. In 1986, the product development of the phantom Arcee progressed to the point of a non-transforming Styrofoam prototype, but the figure was never finished or released.
