A steamy contemporary royal romance from BookTok sensation Ana Huang. Stoic, broody, and arrogant, elite bodyguard Rhys Larsen has two rules: 1) Protect his clients at all costs 2) Do not become emotionally involved. Ever. He has never once been tempted to break those rules...until her. Bridget von Ascheberg. A princess with a stubborn streak that matches his own and a hidden fire that reduces his rules to ash. She's nothing he expected and everything he never knew he needed. Day by day, inch by inch, she breaks down his defenses until he's faced with a truth he can no longer deny: he swore an oath to protect her, but all he wants is to ruin her. Take her. Because she's his. His princess. His forbidden fruit. His every depraved fantasy. Regal, strong-willed, and bound by the chains of duty, Princess Bridget dreams of the freedom to live and love as she chooses. But when her brother abdicates, she's suddenly faced with the prospect of a loveless, politically expedient marriage and a throne she never wanted. And as she navigates the intricacies-and treacheries-of her new role, she must also hide her desire for a man she can't have. Her bodyguard. Her protector. Her ultimate ruin. Unexpected and forbidden, theirs is a love that could destroy a kingdom...and doom them both. Do not become emotionally involved. Ever.

RHYS LARSEN😩😩

LOVED AND I MEAN LOVED THIS BOOK. Rhys Larsen literally raised my high standards to have it more higher. My second favorite book out of the series and HES SOOO RESPECTFUL AND DIDNT DO ANYTHING TO BREAK/HURT HER. Overall I recommend this book to those if they like an age gap and like princess x bodyguard trope.

Do not sleep on this book!!!!

This book TOPPED book #1, like blown it out of the water! I never thought I’d devour such a story, but boy was I wrong. Oh how I wish this could be put onto the television screens. It saddens me that Rhys Larsen and Bridget’s story came to (not so much an end, but…) a finished storyline. I loved every word of this book. Please read this. Much more “smuttier” than book 1 as well! I am thrilled to read the next story, but it’s going to be a challenge to beat this one.

Great storyline

This book is just a breath of fresh air, and reading it takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. I enjoyed every part of it, the twists and turns, the connections Bridget and Rhys had. This royal romance book with an unexpected forbidden love kept me on my toes from beginning to end. This is the second book in the twisted series and it does not disappoint. The storyline of the book is very interesting because we have two main characters that fall in love, an enemies to lovers tale. Rhys is very protective and a serious human being and while Bridget is quite the opposite and tries to crack his shell, there is tension in the air and they know they can’t have each other but they will anyway. In the story Bridget is supposed to be crowned queen throughout the process she opposes her duty and wants to live in relative freedom. However, she slowly comes to the terms that she is going to be a crowned queen and grows into the role. Rhys is a guard, but also his emotions are guarded. He has a thick wall surrounding him and with his time with Bridget, he slowly loosens up and lets go, in this book the characters complement each other very well. What I really enjoyed was the fact that the POV’s of the characters changed within the chapters allowing you to get the aspect of both characters and what's on their mind. This is necessary for the character and story development allowing us to get the same moment twice. Unlike the first book Huang focuses more on emotions and reflections of events. This book definitely has an interesting storyline, there is enough character development making it character driven. The chemistry between Bridget and Rhys became more visible throughout the chapters, and keeps you intrigued for the whole book. Overall I was very fond of this book Twisted Games, by Ana Huang.
