Runs large or maybe a defect!

Receive these yesterday in the mail was so excited to wear them however, the right shoe felt as if it was already stretched out. The Sherpa appeared compressed already. Therefore, the shoe felt super loose on me and practically slipped off my foot. I have an average size 9 foot. All of my other UGGs are in a size 9. Both shoes feel loose however, the right shoe feels super loose. With socks on the left shoe feels a little bit more snug. But the right shoe feels like it is going to slip off even with socks. I will stop at the mall and try on a size 9 and an 8. I will try re-ordering them in a size 9 again to see if maybe this was a defective pair. I really wanted to buy them from Macy’s since I am shopping with a gift card from Christmas. I’ll probably have to try on the size at a different store as my Macy’s rarely has UGGs in stock. My recommendation is that you should definitely try them on in the store before ordering them online as all UGGs do not fit the same.
