Lightweight, breathable, and finally — pockets!

The UA Tech Play Up Mesh Shorts are a great everyday training short for anyone who wants something light and airy that doesn't feel frilly. The double-layer mesh fabric is impressively breathable and buttery soft, wicking sweat and drying fast, so they stay cool through workouts, walks, or just hot summer days. They're so lightweight you'll practically forget you're wearing them. The 3" inseam hits a nice length — short enough to move freely but not so short that it feels revealing — and the foldover waistband sits comfortably without digging in. Best of all, they include side hand pockets, which are surprisingly hard to find in shorts this style, and they're handy for a phone or keys. A couple of things to know: there's no drawstring, so the fit relies entirely on the foldover waistband, and there's no built-in brief or liner, so you'll want to wear your own underlayer. The mesh is also on the airy side, so if you prefer more coverage or a thicker feel, a lined training short might suit you better. For a soft, breathable, no-fuss pair with pockets, though, these are hard to beat — especially at their price.

Best shorts around

I love these shorts. I've been looking for a long time to find comfortable, breathable shorts that are also not too short or frilly and include pockets. These shorts are perfect! Pros:lightweight,breathable, airy, buttery smooth AND POCKETS Con: SO lightweight and airy I sometimes have to do a double take to see if I am actually wearing the shorts

Too short to move well

I wanted to like these shorts but they are a little loosen baggy but ride up easily when I’m walking so I returned them.

I ordered 3 pairs of black shorts and got puke green and can't return. Hate them.
