No longer my favorites. Bad quality!

I have been wearing Vanity Fair string bikinis for probably decades. But the last ones I received have worn out in about 1 1/2 years. The elastic is shredding as you can see in the photo. The only one I have that looks good is one I bought several years ago. Something has changed and I'm so disappointed. What's up Vanity Fair?
