Great bag but strap broke

Fabric looked very worn after 1st time use
I was super excited about this bag. I've carried Vera for years and usually purchase several new bags per year, even though I continue to carry prior years bags because they all still look great and like new. Quality and durable have always been top words I used to describe my bags. Unfortunately, this is the first bag didn't hold up. The fabric snagged very easily and with the solid bright color (coral) it doesn't hide the snags and shows even the smallest amount of dirt. When I purchased I thought the fabric looked similar to lighten up bags that I have quickly grown to love, but this fabric is softer and much less durable. Perhaps a busy pattern would be ok if it hides any snags. But I think I'll just go back to the lighten up and other styles and not risk it. So sad because this bag was so pretty, but it was a waste of money due to snags first time carrying.

My new favorite!
I absolutely love this bag. Bought my first Vera Bradley items a few weeks ago (lighten up roller and a slide on quilted bag) for traveling. This little goodie caught my eye!! I can wear it to the airport and keep my essentials close at hand and then stuff it in one of my bags so I only have two carryons. I bought the black with a beautiful bright lining. I keep all of my wallet items on one side...money in the zip pocket...frequent cards in a holder in one small pocket and less often used cards together in the other small pocket ...receipts, papers, etc. in the center of this side. In the magnetic closed section I drop my phone for easy access. On the other side of the bag there is enough room to carry "must haves" ...cosmetics, hand cream, small mirror, etc. The outer zipper pocket is stash my lens cleaners, etc. So much storage in so little space and so light to carry. I have already gotten complements on it. Love it!!
